Why Choose the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment?

A Trusted and Established Programme
Established in 1984, the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme is the world’s longest-running programme of its kind. Its established legal framework and rigorous due diligence process make it a respected option for international investors.
Enhanced Global Mobility
A St. Kitts and Nevis passport can provide convenient access to numerous international destinations. This enhanced mobility can make business trips, family holidays, and international travel easier, subject to the entry requirements of each destination.
Citizenship for Life
Successful applicants receive full citizenship rather than temporary residency. Citizenship can also be passed on to future generations, subject to the country’s applicable citizenship laws.
No Mandatory Residency Requirement
Applicants are not generally required to relocate to St. Kitts and Nevis before or after receiving citizenship. This allows investors to maintain their existing personal and professional commitments while benefiting from an additional citizenship.
Family Inclusion
Eligible family members may be included in the same application. Depending on current programme requirements, this may include a spouse, dependent children, and eligible dependent parents, allowing families to plan their future together.
Flexible Investment Options
Applicants can choose from approved investment routes, including the Sustainable Island State Contribution, approved real estate, and qualifying public-benefit options. Each route is subject to the programme’s current investment thresholds and eligibility requirements.

Begin Your Citizenship Planning with Confidence

Choosing a citizenship programme is a major legal, financial and family decision. A professional assessment can help you understand your options, identify potential concerns and avoid selecting a programme that does not match your long-term objectives.
What is the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme?
The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme allows eligible individuals and families to obtain citizenship by making a qualifying investment in the country. Established in 1984, it is the world’s longest-running citizenship by investment programme.
What is the minimum investment required?
The Sustainable Island State Contribution starts from US$250,000 for a main applicant or a family of up to four members. Other options include an investment of at least US$325,000 in an approved development or US$600,000 in qualifying private real estate. Government, due diligence, processing, and professional fees may apply separately.
What investment options are available?
Applicants can choose from several approved routes:

Sustainable Island State Contribution
Developer’s Real Estate Investment
Private Real Estate Investment
Approved Public Benefit Option

The most suitable route will depend on the applicant’s family size, objectives, and investment preferences.
Can I include my family in the application?
Yes. Eligible family members may be included in the same application. These may include a spouse, dependent children, and qualifying dependent parents. Every dependant must satisfy the programme’s eligibility and due diligence requirements.
Do I need to live in St. Kitts and Nevis?
The programme does not currently require successful applicants to relocate permanently to St. Kitts and Nevis to maintain citizenship. Applicants should nevertheless confirm the latest physical-presence, biometric-enrolment, and programme requirements before applying.
How long does the application process take?
Applications are generally processed within approximately 120 to 180 days. The actual timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of the application, document preparation, due diligence checks, interview requirements, and Citizenship Unit processing.
Is an interview required?
The main applicant must attend a mandatory interview. Dependants aged 16 or above may also be asked to attend an interview. Interviews may be conducted virtually, in St. Kitts and Nevis, or at another location approved by the Citizenship Unit.
Is biometric enrolment required?
Yes. Biometric enrolment is mandatory for new citizenship applications submitted from 14 April 2026 onward. Applicants can schedule enrolment after reaching the approval-in-principle stage, in accordance with the applicable government procedure.
Is dual citizenship allowed?
Yes. St. Kitts and Nevis permits dual citizenship. However, applicants should also confirm whether their country of existing nationality allows them to hold another citizenship.
What documents are normally required?
Applicants generally need to provide passports, birth and marriage certificates where applicable, police clearance certificates, medical records, financial documents, proof of address, employment or business records, and evidence showing the lawful source of funds. Additional documents may be requested during due diligence.
